Goose Hummock Golf and RV Resort is currently seeking a qualified applicant for the newly created full time Administrative Assistant job position.  This position fills a critical role in our organization that will see the successful applicant providing both administrative and operational assistance in the overall planning and execution of a number of events and programs that are hosted annually here at the golf course.


The position will report directly to the General Manager but will also require the successful candidate to work effectively with a number of operational departments including Golf Shop Operations with our Head Professional, Golf Course Operations with the Course Superintendent and our Food and Beverage Services operation.

  • Enhanced communication skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task on numerous programs and files over the course of a single day, and over an extended period of time,

  • Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in interactions with all guests, with a focus on ensuring positive conflict resolutions are achieved,

  • Demonstrate consistently great organizational skills in all facets of the work place, and attending both regular staff meetings and event planning meetings as required,

  • Demonstrate developed skills on most Microsoft Office programs including WORD, EXCEL with the added ability to learn other 3rd party computer programs is preferred,

  • Prior knowledge of the game of golf, with some operational understanding of golf would be an asset,

  • Assist in the initial training and on-going training programs for all golf course staff; the development of Training Handbook and other Human Resources tasks and duties as required,

  • Demonstrate the ability to complete work assignments and tasks in a timely manner,

  • Assume duties and responsibilities of management staff in their absence from the facility, as required,

  • Demonstrate working knowledge with key social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Google Business and others, as required,

  • Ensure all staff are adhering to both safety standards and procedures as well as corporate policies and procedures and budgets,

  • Demonstrate problem solving abilities within a wide range of work situations,

  • Cash handling experience with emphasis on electronic transactions would be beneficial, and

  • Applicant must possess a valid AB Driver license



  • Post-secondary degree or advanced diploma from an accredited educational institution with emphasis on Event Management, Event Planning or related fields

  • 1 to 3 years of practical experience in those specific fields, or other related fields


Please note – annual salary will be determined through the consideration of a number of factors including level of completed education, previous work experience and overall attributes of the successful candidate.
